Constitutional Court (MK) declines all pleadings of PHPU in West Papua as being filed by Function Group Party (Golkar) and Democratic Party.
In the Sentence Trial led by Head of MK Hamdan Zoelva, Thursday (26/6), the Court found factual events in Bintuni Gulf which revealed errors for Irene Maribuy’s, Golkar’s DPR candidate, votes. The Plaintiff should have gained 32.679 votes, while the defendant stated 14.583 votes.
However, according to KPU’s recorded evidence, the 32.679 votes were added after forceful intervention during the plenum. The intervention was addressed to Bintuni Gulf Chief of KPU, in form of repetitive monitoring. Feels stressed, the chief summoned his counterpart to added rational amount, prior 14.583 votes were later diverted to 32.679 votes.
According to KPU-presented evidence, the chief was bribed to 100 million Rupiah. The engineered result was finally signed by himself and by the plaintiff’s facilitation, it was also signed by the witnesses of Nasdem, Golkar, PPP, PKB, PKPI, and Gerindra.
Despite the facts that the result was signed and agreed by the committees and numerous witnesses, the addition was still committed under bribery and intervention, on that occurrence MK will still annul the decision of 32.679 votes.
Towards Dems’ pleading which fusses to KPU’s decision over DPRD candidates settlement in Dapil West Papua 1 and 2, and Dapil Raja Ampat 3, the Court considers the pleading is unacceptable and ineligible.(Ilham/mh)
